A free lesson of the online course "Assessment and Recovery of Troubled Projects.
In this lesson, Ricardo provides some tips on how to manage different views and the political pressure when managing a troubled project.

Identify Troubled Projects: Learners will be equipped to recognize early symptoms and signs that distinguish troubled projects from challenging ones, developing proficiency in monitoring project health using key performance indicators and milestones.
Analyze the Leading Indicators of a Troubled Project: Participants will understand how to analyze key metrics and indicators predictive of potential failure, using tools and frameworks effectively to interpret these indicators and assess project status.
Use Techniques for Evaluating a Troubled Project: The course will teach methods for both qualitative and quantitative evaluation of troubled projects to determine their severity and impact, including assessing how well the project aligns with business objectives.
Use the Decision-Making Flow: Learners will apply a structured decision-making flow to determine the next steps for a troubled project, making informed decisions based on a comprehensive analysis of project data, team input, and strategic impact.
Define the Actions Needed to Recover or Close the Project: This objective involves learners determining actionable steps to either recover a derailed project or initiate a controlled closure, considering the strategic, operational, and financial implications of each option.
Develop the Recovery Plan and What Comprises Its Success Factors: The course will guide learners in creating a detailed recovery plan that outlines timelines, resources, roles, and expected outcomes and identifies critical success factors that ensure alignment with broader organizational goals.

And we care unable to think in exponential terms. do not ignore that fact. We do not have the wisdom, or the lack of arrogance to see what it is that we ignore. . This is something amazing for some (the few)... but not for the rest. . . The gap between the rich and the disadvantaged will widen even more... and I am not sure what will happen with the PM profession. Elon Musk just started a company to create AI, but ethical A to counter the effects and the aftermath of ill- intentioned, Ai- Tech-savvy skilled people, and their intentions, because these will be augmented EXPONENTIALLY. I just found an ai that helps yo design your own ai.
What is the real value between hiring a sw engineer that knows project management methodologies (and AI) and a real PM that also knows how to use AIs to start and complete a project.
Organizations will need to establish robust governance frameworks to manage AI's impact on project management .

Oh my god, and this was a year ago ...
end users with these tools.... My concern is if they will need us PMs at all? I see what you are saying, but maybe we are being a little too optimistic. Is this a good time for people to get into this field - Administrative work goes away... If you are not at an advanced place in your career, starting off, right now, may not be the best idea (?). I come from a different industry and have b een working in PM for 3 years - about to take my PMP, and AI just exploded.
